Learning International Pty Ltd (ACN 086 407 927, ABN 33 086 407 927) trading as Anticipate operates the Anticipate retirement scenario modelling tool at anticipate.au and app.anticipate.au (the “Service”). In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Learning International Pty Ltd.

We are committed to protecting your personal information and handling it in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy explains what we collect, why, how we handle it, and the choices and rights you have.

1. What personal information we collect

We collect only the information we need to run the Service:

We do not ask for, and would prefer you not to send, sensitive information (such as health, racial or political information). The financial figures you enter are used to produce projections and are not required to identify you.

We collect personal information directly from you — when you create an account, enter figures to run a scenario, subscribe, or contact us — and automatically through standard web technologies when you use the Service. Where practicable we collect information directly from you rather than from third parties.

4. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to sign you in and keep the Service working. If we use analytics to understand general, aggregated usage, we will keep this section current and describe it here. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may stop parts of the Service from working.

5. Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the Service, and only as needed for them to perform their function. Our key providers are:

We may also disclose personal information where required or authorised by law, or to protect our rights, users or the public. We do not otherwise disclose your personal information to third parties for their own purposes.

6. Overseas disclosure

Some of our service providers are located overseas, primarily in the United States (see the table above). This means your personal information may be stored or processed outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to ensure these providers handle personal information consistently with the APPs, but their handling is also subject to the laws of the countries in which they operate.

7. How we store and protect it

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure — including using reputable providers, encryption in transit, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, and then take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

8. Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. Contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable period. There is normally no charge, though we may recover reasonable costs for substantial access requests. If we decline access or correction, we will tell you why.

9. Complaints

If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or 1300 363 992.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above and, where the change is significant, take reasonable steps to notify you. Please review this page periodically.
